Welcome to the 'Villages Mission Community' North Devon.
We are a rural, coastal United Benefice in beautiful North Devon. There are three parishes within the Benefice, Heanton Punchardon, Marwood, and West Down.
Each of our churches are beautiful grade one listed buildings, each with its own character and atmosphere.
St Michael and All Angels church, Marwood and St Calixtus Church, West Down are deeply involved in their village communities, whilst St Augustine's Church, Heanton has a more eclectic congregation from the wider community but is still closely involved in parish life.
There are services every Sunday at each of the churches, please click on the tab of the individual church to find a helpful description of the services we provide. We aim to cover a broad spectrum of worship that is built on an open Evangelical churchmanship.
Additionally, the parish magazine is uploaded onto the website each month and contains details of all of our services.
We pride ourselves on our welcome. Whether you are here on holiday, have recently moved into the area or are visiting friends or family, we would love to meet you and share Christian kinship with you.
There are always social and community events taking place in the three parishes, just click on calendar for details. We hope to see you soon.
Come along, be a blessing to us as we aim to be a blessing to you.

We as brothers and sisters in Christ aim to cherish and value each other as we work hard to serve our communities and encourage each other to grow in faith.
We as brothers and sisters in Christ aim to live in peace with each other. To encourage the disheartened, help the weak and be as patient as we can with those whose opinion differs from ours.
We as brothers and sisters in Christ aim to make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but to always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
We as brothers and sisters in Christ aim to Rejoice always in the Lord and pray continually, giving thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.
We as brothers and sisters in Christ aim to not quench the work of the Holy Spirit, but to encourage spiritual gifts and seek the Lords’ discernment in all things, we seek the will to hold on to what is good, we reject every kind of evil.
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify us through and through.
May our whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We as brothers and sisters in Christ believe the one who calls us is faithful, and he will do it.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all, evermore. Amen
Mission prayer adapted from the final instructions of Paul’s first letter to the church in Thessalonica Chapter 5, vs 12-28
